Don’t you find that interesting?

I’ve gone through my previous journal entries. I have come to the inescapable conclusion that I am a boring person. All I do is talk about running, or ultramarathons. And, as far as I know, none of the people who read this have ever even considered going out for a jog. I have no idea why they keep reading. Maybe they don’t.
So I need to be more interesting.
That’s it. I’m going to Vancouver. Right now. That’s what an interesting person would do.
Unfortunately the flight is delayed by an hour and twenty minutes. So I’ll try and be interesting waiting in the departure lounge.

  1. Hey, I have considered going for a jog! In fact, my cousin actually took me along on her run when I visited Guelph a couple summers ago. Granted, I barely made it around the block before collapsing at her house, much to the amusement of her non-running husband.

But I think you should be less worried about being interesting. Most people’s personal blogs are usually read by one’s friends, who are interested in the blog simply because they are interested in the writer. If you have different things you want to share, by all means, go ahead, but this ought not to be a cause for anxiety.

    Have fun in Vancouver.

  2. I don’t see why you would consider yourself an uninteresting person.

I have known your for a long time now and you always seem to try to find that “thing” that will make you more interesting and desirable and I think you are too worried about the destination and aren’t paying attention to the journey.

What many people fail to see it’s not what they DO that makes them interesting, it’s who they ARE! People can do all sorts of things that on the surface seem interesting but when deep down they are empty vessels who are nothing more then what they do.

One wish I have had for you for a long time is for you just to be you. You clearly have a lot to offer anyone and you are very interesting on your own. Be you man and that alone will make you interesting because only you can be you. Just own who you are.

    That is my two cents.
